What would it take to set me free?
Do you know? I don’t
Trapped in this world alone, supposed to be all grown
Am I slipping?
Want to let go, but too scared to let anyone in
Too scared to give, too scared to trust
Afraid to follow, prefer to lead, or simply walk away
If I feel, he’ll have power over me, can’t have that
If I follow, he can tell me where to go
If I feel, he can break my heart
Safer not to feel at all
