Set On Her Poem by Robert Sheridan

Set On Her

Have passed into a given state
No need to resolve or decide
upon; no need to settle resolutely
or wishfully; it’s not an
assignment, nor a task; just need
to follow love’s direction; now I
need to look towards the horizon;
One thing I’ve learned though,
never assume – don’t want any
intermission; now is the time to
undertake; her outward and inner
beauty sets her apart – she never
humiliates; she never appoints,
nor gives me any duties; she sets
aside my short-comings, accepts
me for who I am – that’s why I’m
set on her... I’m falling in love.
