Seven And Counting (A Song) Poem by Jade Leven

Seven And Counting (A Song)

you know I’ll never get over this
you know I’ll never get over you
but it’s obvious, you’re delirious
you’re imagining that I’ll get through

how many times can you transform
(friend to enemy, enemy to friend)
before I draw the line
and decide it has to end
how many times, how many times

seven and counting
seven and counting
seven and counting
seven...
(eight, nine, ten!)

I can’t go on like this forever
just tell me which side you’re on
it’s so clear to me, this is conspiracy
tell me now (which side are you on?)

good versus evil is such a common topic
let’s pick a different theme
I’d call it reoccurring over-dramatic death
and that’s not just how it seems

how far can my heart be pushed around
(break bend break, bend break bend)
before it shatters completely
and my life comes to an end
so many times, so many times

seven and counting
seven and counting
seven and counting
seven...
(eight, nine, ten!)

and I get shivers down my spine
when I imagine that you are mine
oh, whoa, you know how I feel
but I know you’re not the best, you’d never pass the test
when you make me feel the blood pouring from my chest
so many times, so many times

seven and counting
(eight, nine, ten!)
seven and counting
(eight, nine, ten!)
seven and counting
(eight, nine, ten!)
ten and counting
