Seventh Secret Songs Poem by Tosin Abegunde

Seventh Secret Songs

Hall-lelu-yah meje
Ho-ss-an-ah meje
Ebe-ne-zer meje
Je-rimo-yah-mah is my LORD!

As Adigbonranku sustains seven seasons,
Die, die, He in me, raptly rejects.
His works, ordained me He, to declare.

While wal-king in the valley of shadow of death,
His Brotherhood bears me shoulders high
To escape the stones, fire and sea
That roams the elusive and concrete phases.

Hall-lelu-yah meje
Ho-ss-an-ah meje
Ebe-ne-zer meje
Je-rimo-yah-mah is my LORD!

He lives in me; you; us; gets the back best
For cat never fell face up, eewo orisa!
This He keeps as covenant, fresher
And renew my strength like the eagles' in its prime.

As korofo shields all its stick-kins,
He promises and fulfils the same;
Faithful and just He remains ever more.

Hall-lelu-yah meje
Ho-ss-an-ah meje
Ebe-ne-zer meje
Je-rimo-yah-mah is my LORD!

He's here in the tabern; in my hood reigns He.
Go tell it on the mountains, hills and plains
Like the the voice in the wilderness screams:
'Come one, come all'
Songs of the spirit and the bride
Like the gyration of the 'supremo comrados'
That hits the shrine of Keregbeans.

Hall-lelu-yah meje
Ho-ss-an-ah meje
Ebe-ne-zer meje
Je-rimo-yah-mah is my LORD!

'De-godo-redalm-ea' a tongue; 'Eloi Eloi', my voice,
As a child, I blab, now as a man I bass.
Who, now, can determine the lyrics as of Babylonian song
Perhaps the Goshenite minstrels do.

Abracadabra it is, to a handful faint-hearted few
Key stone it becomes for the wise men-y
For in it the seeds seal speedily.

Hall-lelu-yah meje
Ho-ss-an-ah meje
Ebe-ne-zer meje
Je-rimo-yah-mah is my LORD!

Seven heavens, seven earths, owns He- so rich.
His crafts: sun, moon and stars that illuminates.

At Carmel, by fire He answered me
With rolling thunder it was at Horeb.

Peace's prince piercing prey-er
Owing our opprobrium obeisance
Lest to lurk we're laughed by foes.

Hall-lelu-yah meje
Ho-ss-an-ah meje
Ebe-ne-zer meje
Je-rimo-yah-mah is my LORD!

Sea, air, feud: Lord of all He is, no racism.
Like sheep like lion, His dous ever endure.
As He scolds, so does He sternly soothe.

With sacred axe breaks He, the nest of Cedar
With same, hewn down He Neb'cad's tree.

Same, is the confidence of Celphas,
Fiercy metal that noosed Judas.

Hall-lelu-yah meje
Ho-ss-an-ah meje
Ebe-ne-zer meje
Je-rimo-yah-mah is my LORD!

Oh let us come unto this my Lord
Seventh of seventh, His days are
His tenure expires not, His kingdom forever stands.

In the streets will men duff their feather-caps
Singing tra-la-la and dancing muso
Whether seasoned or sour: the seal and key;
Seventh secret songs that marvels.
