Seventy Years On Two Legs Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Seventy Years On Two Legs

I have lived Seventy Years on two legs,
But now I must learn to live on one,
For I have had an amputation
And daily living is now no fun.

‘Life is what you make it’,
And with YOUR Help I shall be fine,
Thinking and planning each move,
Abstaining from beer and wine.

Living in my wheelchair,
My Powerchair and bed,
I now lead a different Life,
And with YOUR Help I shall be led.

Writing more poetry,
As well as my daily chores,
Give me more words ~ LORD,
So I can write an encore.

Keep my Mind active,
For many years to come,
So I can praise YOU daily
And write poems for everyone.
