Severing Poem by Sven Rhoads

Severing

Cut the noose from the gallows tree
Its time to breathe the sweet spring air
Expelling the poison from my anatomy
That you have place with serpents fangs

With friends like you
Who will ever need enemies

With hands over my head like a barbwire halo
The tempting release of the razors edge
Letting of the blood beneath my snow blasted skin
Give me the strength to not bare it again
With blowing winds through every fiber of my being
The natural beauty of new open horizons
I'm severing the ties that have been dragging me down
Toxicity shall not prevail over me

To breathe in a brand new dawn
And banish the black hole in me
Feed my fire again and be strong
Cause victory is all that I see

You can spread and live
In the lies that you have sown

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
