Shadows Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

Shadows

Rating: 3.8

the light is going fast
and you'll soon see
or maybe say (like
other men have said) you
look best in shadows
it's those high cheekbones
so-called bedroom eyes
the this or that of you

it's supposed to
be a compliment but
you don't see the same things
i see in the darkness
mainly the shadow
of the shadow

'You look best in shadows.' What you say is OK for the moment, but how long one can remain in the shadow and enjoy like this? Chasing the crooked shadow, is a fiction in life. It is the light that brings one cheers all the time.

piercing into the depths the shadow image like a volcano a deep insight so well described the words just right and ringing true a fine poem
