Shadows Follow Morning Poem by Barry Middleton

Shadows Follow Morning

Rating: 5.0

shadows follow morning
for night is sweet relief
concealing pain in dreams
till day returns my grief

shadows follow morning
they will not turn away
they search for the horizon
and lurk in shades of gray

shadows follow morning
but I will sleep once more
the shadows gone at last
beyond a darkened door

That's your forte. Nobody depicts pain n loneliness better than you. A lovely use of imagery n metaphors. A10

Thanks Nosheen. One has to write what one knows.
