Shadows Lengthen Poem by Grant House

Shadows Lengthen

Avila Beach mid-August
Wednesday late afternoon

I take this photo and then just stand there
Looking out in the cool breeze

Shadows lengthen
Waves wander in

Kids run around and shout
The fog plans it's next move

A kind of special moment
To share with you
