Shakespeare Regrets Poem by Brendon Langeveldt

Shakespeare Regrets

Shakespeare regrets
having been such a stiff,
never having the guts
to give real life a whiff.

Shakespeare regrets
having to use fancy terms,
I bet if he was here
he'd relax using slang words.

Shakespeare regrets
having done all those plays,
in not only one, but
'let me count the ways.'

Shakespeare regrets
making Romeo die,
in fact, all his heroes
turned out to be sly.

Shakespeare regrets
not being able to rest,
for his immortal works
are still put to the test.

but most of all

Shakespeare regrets
not being here today,
coz then he could write poems
in a proper english way.
