Shanghai Wrap Poem by RIC BASTASA

Shanghai Wrap

he spreads himself
like a sheet in bed till
the morning hours

no one is there to
share his heat, no
one, no one

no one, and so at night
he comes
folded
as tight as shanghai
wrapping
fried in the heat of
his
unrequited love
forever
