Sharing Poem by Edwina Reizer

Sharing

If there's a heaven
I know you'll be there,
happy to see me
and willing to share.

You shared all you had
with an open heart
and so when the time came
for you to depart

I felt the lack
and everyday, the loss.
The days were bleak
and at night I'd toss.

Before I could sleep
I'd look at the stars.
I've picked one out
and now it's ours.

I share it with you
although you're not here.
And when there are clouds
and it can't appear

I remember it always
in this world that I'm in
and will share it with you
when we join in heaven.
