Shattered Heart Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Shattered Heart

Rating: 5.0

Once into a million pieces battered
This heart fragile was completely shattered
Broken into tiny shards like glass
Piled up this bloodied tangled mass
Carefully you started to reassemble
Confidently piece by piece without a tremble
Pieces slowly and perfectly connected
Each piece loved and respected
Not one tiny shard missing or rejected
Looking at it now so perfectly whole
Interlocked with your loving soul
You achieved the impossible feat
Making me love again, now I am complete
