Shattered Truths - Poem by Mandi June

The deepest of thoughts
In the mind of a man
Keep secret the darkest intentions.
The way all things go
Through the ebb and the flow
Keep taxed our belittled inventions.
Behind all the clouds
Are the forgotten dreams
Of the children whose parents have gone.
To honor the rights
Of the strong and the proud
Who degrades from a knight to a pawn.
For those shattered truths
Become closer it seems
While we follow the path of the bias.
Perfection we seek
But we never will find
For it's saved for the just and the pious.
