She Called Me Poem by Randy McClave

She Called Me

She called me to be forgiven
But, I didn't answer the call,
In her no longer could I believe in
She had caused me to suffer and fall.
She treated me the way no man should be treated
Whereas I treated her like gold,
But, she lied, broke promises and cheated
My belief in her was thrown away and sold.
She then sent me a text
Which of course I opened to read,
She blamed her actions on her mood and an ex
Her message read like a plead.
I then thought about us and our past
And what we once had held before,
Now all those thoughts amassed
As I remember her sneaking out the door.
She then texted me curious question
About her coming to see me once again,
Then she made a true confession
She's was tired of living a lie, and in sin.
