She Could Not Wait Poem by Marcus McKinley

She Could Not Wait

Daunted
Unwanted
Call of the haunted
In death my freedom
You stole for eternity
Soul mates
Meant to be
No one else could see
Our love possibility

Closer than close
Were we
So close
You were me
Why did you?
Peer pressure the issue?

Without you
I cannot be
I am hanging

Symbolically

Our names in heart

From our tree

Rope swing free

Hear my plea
Let me see
Let me free
Let me be

With thee
