She Deceived Me Poem by Randy McClave

She Deceived Me

She had told me that she loved me
That thought made we so comfy,
Then I had dreams of us together
Now, and forever.
I then took her to church with me
I wanted my friends and family to see,
That together we were in God's house
Maybe soon she would be my spouse.
Whatever she ever needed or wanted I bought
Whatever she desired I sought,
Every night I would always pray for us
And I would always thank our Lord Jesus.
I saw her in my future
Then I found out that she was a moocher,
Unto me she had lied and cheated
And the many times those acts she repeated.
I use to dream about her and I
And how we were going to sail the sky,
Then she went back to where she once was found
My feet went back on the ground.
She had given me thoughts, desires and fantasies
But, they all blew away in the breeze,
From me she had used and cheated and stole a lot
That was her initial plot.
Telling me that she loved me was just another ploy
That she used to take and make, I was her toy,
Now thankfully she is not my girlfriend never more
After she had left from my front door.
I have never stopped having dreams
But, I have stopped falling for lies and schemes,
I have never stopped saying my prayers
But, I have stopped having nightmares.
