She Is Beautiful Poem by Leslie Alexis

She Is Beautiful

Other women are pretty.
Only my wife is beautiful.

Such adoration
I can give only to her,
My lily among flowers
Upon whom I can gaze
To unravel her mystery
Wherein lays her beauty.
If I do such to one not my own
I ought to be stoned.

Women, I know not if you are fair
As she (my beauty)
I cannot compare,
But you are pretty,
That you are to me,
I saw this at the edge of my eye
As you passed by;

To look back was not my store
You are not mine to adore
‘Less I take of my Lover’s potion
And give to thee,
tainting love’s degree.
