She is breaking stones
And is making the bituminous road
In broad daylight
Bearing the brunt of the scorching sun,
Heat and humidity,
Coal tar smoking, heated to be sprinkled on,
Hammering boulders wth her sturdy stroke
So exhausting and sweating,
Devastating her own life
To eke out a living
And even after that struggling to get bread and butter
For two times,
Going half-fed, half-clothed.
