She Rests In Peace Poem by Afshaan T.S

She Rests In Peace

A true story about a girl who passed away in 2006. Her murderers were executed 2 days ago. This poem is dedicated to her. I request you to please remember this innocent little soul in your prayers. Thank you.

Tied to the window sill
Staring out the window
Thinking about her life
Death
Why would these thoughts go through
A 9 year old girl's head?
Her body beaten and bruised
Her left hand broken
Kerosene on her face
Burnt legs
Tortured since a long time
She's weak and thirsty
Hunger pangs muddled up with the pain
All this done by the one person who should have protected her
Her father.

He wanted to get rid of her simply because
Of suspicions that she wasn't his lawful daughter
Snatched her from her mother
Gained custody
He remarried
Continued playing the role of jailer and executioner to please his wife
Torturing this helpless soul
An innocent child who couldn't fight back

Her biological mother intervened
But had no support
The justice system had died
While she was trying to survive each and every day
Praying she would get her daughter back

The little girl finally gave up
The daily brutal torture killed her
Her murderers were sentenced to death
But what about the mother
Who lost her one and only baby to these savages?
What is she going through?
None of us will know

The Gates of Heaven open
Embracing the little girl
Finally she rests in peace
In the arms of an angel

i can feel the pain of the mother and the misery of the young girl..God has given equal rights to everybody to enjoy their life..but it's the human who takes fun in seeing other ppl in pain...but thr r the good people for whom this world still exists... but i have this satisfaction in my heart that this little soul is surely in rest but for her mother..i pray that may God bless her with enough strength to bear this loss..Ameen.

A tragic story. Comes too many innocent victims of societys evil. One consolation this poor girl has been saved from harm and is now at peace. For this Mother who lives with this. I hope she can come to terms with her own grief and know her Daughter is now at rest and has been cured of her sufferings.. Best wishes Suzan Gumush
