The Wedding Poem by Afshaan T.S

The Wedding

She walks with a graceful smile
Pure as a swan with sparkle in her eyes
Happiness and shyness on her face
Dressed in embroidered silk and lace
Surrounded by loved ones who were always there
In times of joy and despair
I look and wonder how she must feel
To have a life that's fresh and real
With the soul who loves her deeply as she does him
Now the ceremony must begin
The priest recites those holy words
As her heart flies like a bird
Floats among the clouds and kiss the sky
And laugh with the stars that shine bright
With a cheer everyone rises
And congratulate her in different voices
She glows like moonlight and thanks them all
Her soul mate is in her thoughts all along
How would he feel when he lifts her veil to see
Such a beautiful bride is she
I sit and wonder when will I get the call
From the one who will turn me into a swan.
