She's Living Her Dream Now Poem by Jarid Kool

She's Living Her Dream Now

Why do you put up with this? It's you he constantly diss.
He treats you like trash, making you last on his list.

He yells, curses while pushing, calling you a stupid witch.
He even raises his hands at you, striking you with his fist.

You once said, 'I'll be the center of attention. I'll fulfill
my dream. I'll get out of this someday. I shall be redeemed.'

You try to hide the scars. With makeup you hide bruises on
your face. You say that he loves you, no my dear, it's you
he hates.

Why do you take up for him? Is your self-esteem that low?
You must like to be beaten on and call his little ho

I hate it when you do that. Excuse me if I give a damn.
What I see in him is a boy, he's not a real man.

If he was such a man he'd cherish you, can't you see?
He's nothing but a coward, I dare him to beat on me!

You once said, 'I'll be the center of attention. I'll
fulfill my dream. I'll get out of this someday. I shall
be redeemed.'

Come on girl, snap out of it. Who cares about a make-up
kiss? He's leading you on again; please don't you fall
for this!

Well I was speaking in vain. It fell on deaf ears. What
I feared has happened. I'm shedding painful tears.

She stayed with him far too long. I pleaded with her
and begged. Her boyfriend finally did it, he went too
far and now she's dead.

She once said she'd be the center of attention. Take it
for what it's worth. She's living her dream now, the
town is watching her ride away in a hearse.
