She's Your Baby(Untitled 4: 2001) Poem by Lillian B. Rose

She's Your Baby(Untitled 4: 2001)

She's your baby
Why tease my heart so?
the autumn leaves have fallen
Into my summer scene

I had given my restless eyes
More freedom to play the game
'Cause here I am with heavy heart
Looking to a fallen sky

Where is your star tonight - my love
I strain to find what evades me
The small movement of sweetness
Striking hard a war-torn heart

Tears leave ruts down my cheeks
Meeting my down turned mouth
As pride turns to rage
And again I cry
