She Sobbed For Me Poem by MD MOZAFFOR HOSSAIN

She Sobbed For Me

She Sobbed for Me

Md Mozaffor Hossain

Before me was she among many perforating looks
Not even a lone time did I see her aside
Or, I did meet her eyes like everyone else's
Never did I sense for me she felt.

They say pleasures may divide you apart
It is sorrow that connects you with souls
Into me she merged when others had a feast
For me she sobbed and left in pace.

I thought all were hungry cannibals
That amidst them was a human
Rendered an ounce of love to my perturbed heart
It felt like all my scars were gone.

I did not cry nor did happen the thought
Even when they pierced me into pieces
My lumps were being relished
Only her love wetted my eyes.

The humiliation I endured disappeared
I found myself filled with guilt
Why should for me a human psyche feel?
When to all others I am just a relishable lump.

Like they say you write it on sand
When at you pains are hurled
But you engrave it in a stone
When to you some good is done.

The wounds those meat-eaters gave me
With time's blessings have been healed
The love for me she poured through her sobs
Still pricks me with sweeter zeal.

Neither I know her nor I desire to see
May humanity adorn her wherever she be.
