Shed Your Tears Poem by Margaret O Driscoll

Shed Your Tears

Shed your tears
release your pain
Let out the hurt
in the November rain

Last month you walked here
with the joys of youth
Saw the vivid pink and orange
of the Spindle's fruit

Now all of nature seems
in sympathy with your grief
Rain drips from branches
bare of every leaf

Beyond the mist
one day you will see
Things happen for a reason
It just wasn't meant to be
