POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Note: I wrote this poem a few days ago and published it for the first time today, the 9th of December,2025. There is a concerted effort to destroy the very structures that give us mental and emotional strength. No wonder our current cultures are full of broken, mentally and emotionally damaged people.

So true! Family is so very important—it is a vital gift from God, designed to give us place and purpose in this world. It is so sad what the powers of this world want to do to ruin that gift… Thank you for sharing another gem of truth, Mr. Hopkins.

A powerful and meaningful poem on the foundation of society. Indeed, they shelter us from storms. They must be protected
