Shhhh Tami, Don'T Cry Poem by APPHIA GARCIA

Shhhh Tami, Don'T Cry

Do we have to suffer such great pain
For the turmoil we put ourselves in?
How can our own mistakes hurt so much
When we find out we have illnesses as such?

We were made in God's image
And living forever is our greatest desire.
Death we never even try to imagine
But when illnesses step in
We often wonder,
'What is the purpose of living.'

The fact is our bodies are imperfect
And it is we humans to blame.
Not directly you nor directly me,
But our fore parents, Adam and Eve

God is merciful,
His only begotten son he sent to die for many
Yes, including Rene`e
For that we are suppose to be happy.

In instances like these
We find ourselves blaming God indirectly.
But God is love
So do you think he will hurt us
By taking someone we dearly love?
I must therefore ask of you not slap God in his face
And show lack of gratitude
By asking him any day
'God why me? '

After all is said and done
You can only console yourself
Because who of us can undo what was done?
I am sure you will share my sentiments and safely say,
None.

What is left of you though,
Is to live the rest of your life with your family
Like you never did before.
Telling and showing them that you love them
Guaranteeing them that it is for sure.

I know that you hurt from deep inside
And all that I said can have little gain
But giving you some reminders is what I tried
And I hope it was not all in vain.

At this point now when you are low
It is not necessary to feel at all alone.
I assure you I am a friend bound for when in need
I will always be by your side.
And when I am not around
You will be in my prayers
You will be in my mind.

You know you are my girl
I will never leave you,
Never forsake you.
But i'll always be here for you
Care for you
And love you.
