Shine On Poem by Tess Rockenstire

Shine On

Shattered dreams washed away.
Dark nights and rain drops – dried of a new day.
Sunlight in my window smiles at me.
Today is full of possibility,
Fear not all ‘hopelessness.’
Bagged your yesteryears sorrow,
Throw it in the river bend.
Let go the pain
Immortal soul acclaimed.
Stronghold now is gone,
Beware your strength will shine.
The new you are worth – more than diamonds.
Forever captive but free,
Caged bird will sing
It’s your choice
To discover who you are,
There’s beauty hidden –
A thousand more –
Look into your soul
There you are
Like a sun shining through.
