Shopping List Poem by VICTORIA GEORGE

Whilst making a new shopping list
I realised that it was in rhyme
Not a purposeful thing, I insist
But randomly writing each line

I’d put “ice cream and chocolate flakes
Bananas and battenburg cakes
Pizzas and chips
Big bags of crisps
And a couple of strawberry shakes”

I looked at my list with dismay
What was I thinking about?
What kind of list is okay…..
With Crunchies and Mars bars left out?
