Should It Matter Poem by Francis Duggan

It will not be recorded in human history
What i think of you or what you think of me
You and i have a different sense of reality
A different World we look at and see.

Having said so much such is life one must suppose
And to some a weed is the same as a rose
We all look at life in a different way
And some of us do not grow wiser even though we grow gray.

Since i am not one who has lived in their shoes
On others i should not be offering my views
Though common ground few of us do seem to share
We all have our crosses in life for to bear.

Our differences make us interesting some are known to say
And our friend of tomorrow can be our enemy of today
And though to you what looks black to me may look blue
Should it matter what you think of me or what i think of you?
