Should There Be A Smart Person Lemon Law? Poem by Richard Jarboe

Should There Be A Smart Person Lemon Law?

Don't get be wrong, I'm a fan of Smart People,
They're working on everything, because they're smart!
They run the government, the media, and the entertainment business.
Why? ? Because they're smart.

But are they smarter than you or I.
If there was a pop quiz, would you even try?
They run utilities, water, the air and the oil,
Smart people even run the soil.

So as we watch this place fall apart,
Spasmodic, flaw by flaw,
Do you think the time has come,
For a Smart Person Lemon Law?

Where do Smart People come from in this nation?
Are we not choked in the vine of the League?
Lincoln had a 1st Grade Education,
And he did all right considering the gig.

If you see a total train wreck,
And the Engineer's from Yale,
Maybe there should be a lemon law,
To monitor how we come to fail.
