Show Me Poem by Robert Siney

Show Me

Rating: 5.0

Show me laughter
Then teach me how.
And compose a symphony
On the strength of one smile.

Show me courage
Then help me see.
And stand all alone
On the graves of our youth.

Show me heartache
Then hold me close.
And let a tear drop
From the eye of an angel.

Show me sorrow
Then tell me why.
And close the door
On this unbearable land.

You express your angst with a poet's eye and use the repetition om the 'Show me' lines as a pleasing frame to hold your thoughts. 'Compose a symphony On the strength of one smile.' is a particularly beautiful image. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
