Stars Poem by Robert Siney

Stars

Rating: 5.0

Serenity is a stranger I’ll never know,
Since you slipped away amid a sombre cloud.
Were you just an hallucination, a fantasy?
No, you were more magical than fiction.
All we have left are our golden memories,
I look to the stars and recall your beauty.
Sweet and sour tastes both remain,
Surreal extremes of each, as ever.
How do you find your way home in the dark?
My support and guidance still comes from you.
The stars of yesteryear will be the stars of tomorrow,
But you will always be the brightest star in the night sky.
