Shower Song Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Shower Song

Shower Song

I have been to circus
Saw clowns and the bears.

Being an audience
I sat, watched, and listened.

Suddenly came a man
In the mask of leaders.

All his words were but lies
With stench, they stunk.

Could not do anything
But blocking my nose.

He preyed animals
Regardless of the size
Both the large and small
To abuse for his job.

Young student on the stage
Acted like the big bear
And the beaten tiger
In the loop of fire…

Sweet tongue and fear
Convinced the elephants
And scared the rooster…

Funnier was circus
With priest of the church
Claiming invention:
"Kill the COVID virus
In only ten minutes! "

In circus a parrot
Was used as traitor,
On paper had lecture:
"Down with the rioters,
They say my life matters
But attacked my place! "
