Shrinking Oldpeople Poem by Dorsey Baker

Shrinking Oldpeople

Shrinking old people
Shrinking overnight
Shrinking
Out of sight
Shrinking old people
Crumbled up
Wrinkled pages
Faded by years past
We are the bigger ones now
And they all
Seem so small
To us
As we have become giants
To them
As they once were!
They look up
We look down
Deep into their pleading eyes
Shrinking old people
They watch the time
As it flies! e
