Sign Of Change Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Sign Of Change

This corner turned, the past behind,
gone is fear of self;
moment silenced, breath released,
exhaustion lain on shelf;
shattering stillness, mindful hush,
solemn within usself;
cosmology, all souls deliberate,
hidden in mortal delf.

Humanity's vein, one common strand,
life giving soul of Africa;
universal note, the seed of strength,
ground paste of soul arnica;
epicenter truth, our minds not flesh,
no longer esoterica;
attainable monument, life anewed,
the future is our true lexica.

Derive from anima this consciousness,
it lights all roads to dawn;
deeply thirst for confirmed certes,
in this our society embrawn;
faiths blessing fulfill relief,
in minds quiet convergence indrawn;
redemption, life's filled anon,
all misconceptions each impawns.

Thoughts move mores of everyone,
to the depth of life's accord;
effusion, that which whets living's gain,
its gush to us restored;
mindful, one must inward turn,
justice and humaneness implore;
elution mists away all shame,
so begins oecumenical rapport.

Resolutions, and social ideals foment,
upon these election waves;
coercive diatribe, hate's phlogiston,
to it we gracefully absolve;
affirmant stands on victory's stage,
the world is wooing captive;
ascend sign of change,
thus honoured, is our nation's definitive.
