Silence Poem by Gabrielle Smith

Silence

Rating: 4.0

I wait, in the wings.
Silence.
The music begins.
I take a breath.
Hold my arms up.
And dance.
And dance.
Silence.
I hold my pose.
Quivering.
The audience claps.
In the wings.
Silence.

'The audience claps'...is it a dream this character's having?
