Silence Poem by jonah gustafson

Silence

Braided beauty closely hugs
hardened body tightly tugs
soulless shadow in the light
silence says he lost the fight

peace through pain
life seems to have taught
the tree: mundane
but else it brought

press restart and slip on bark
the next thing he saw was dark
but after that all was fresh
after that, he lost this flesh

braided beauty closely hugs
hardened body tightly tugs
soulless shadow in the light
silence says he lost the fight
