You didn't heed the warning
though silence rang loud and clear,
Now you're left to clean up
what should have brought you fear.
All along the marrow
grew deep, soft scarlet red,
Now your soul's hard hollow
frail bone carved, splintered..dead.

Oh Kim, you certainly have a way with words and you always compose such powerful words of poetry with a very deep meaning. Once again, I find myself being drawn into you through your passion for poetry and its such a pleasure as you keep giving us more reading treasure. Thank You for a little more of you and especially your gift of words. Very well done. Your Friend, Mickey Pig Knuckles :)
