Silent Song Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Silent Song

When eyes choose to see
They blend in what they like
And curse what they hate

Time is our immortal teacher
The mountains carry God's presence
We choose when to sing a praise

Love died in lust
Every soul owns that as a token
The test is how to control such

Hearts died when they fell in
They are swollen but not broken
In full forms they still yearn to love

The moon cried tears of sorrows
Barking dogs and witches in a fairy
The tale of abstract minds
That lives to capture the sun
To dance to the unknown
