Silent Tear Poem by Teresa Reck

Silent Tear

Walking along this deserted beach
I fester in this time alone
my thoughts occupied by your words
such hurt never before have I known

You have shackled my heart in pain
a silent tear falls onto my cheek
this hurt I feel enclosing me
I feel now my future looks bleak

This sudden realization of loneliness
threatens to wrap itself onto my heart
such a feeling of emptiness reminds me
of a time we said we would never part

I can feel the sand between my toes
memories flood of the walks we had
hand in hand along the beach
promising of good times not of sad

This silence threatens to deafen me
solitude doesnt heal the pain
all the promises we made to each other
nothing to lose and everything to gain

...A sad poem. But a beautiful one all the same. Wonderfully written. Thanks for the read.
