Silently Let Go Poem by katie williams

Silently Let Go

She runs away from class
She cannot cry in there
To let the tears hit the desk
Her hands shake on the chair

She walks and leaves the class
Faint and in a daze
Blurry are the images now
She tries to catch her gaze

Focus on an object
So she can stay alert
But tears are falling endlessly now
She’s just too far gone, to hurt

She’s damaged and can’t be repaired
The blood is dripping fast
The breathe that’s seising out
Will fade and soon not last

She sitting all alone
Staring into space
Wiping away her teary eyes
Leaving blood upon her face

She sobs and screams for help
But no-one hears her cries
Regret is filling through her mind
Along with pure hatred of the lies

She cannot lie anymore
She knows she’s not ok
And that the mistake she made this time
Might cost her not to see another day

She stands and walks out slowing
Blood dripping to the floor
Exiting the bathroom
Leaving handprints on the door

She stumbles over concrete
Tries hard not to fall
Cries aloud for all to hear
Collapses on the wall

Whispers through her mind
Fill her thoughts with hate
She’s confused and weary now
It might just be too late

Broken and afraid
Her hope and faith have gone
No-one can hear her now
She wants to die to be reborn

To no longer feel this pressure
And pain that hurts her so
Her grip loses on her wrists
Her breath stops as she silently lets go
