Silently Loving You Poem by Shaira Bataga

Silently Loving You

Rating: 5.0

Head pounding, eyes hurting, tears falling
For years now I'm left silently loving,
You're with me but your heart's with someone else,
All I can ever do is exist in your place.

In a split second I realized,
That we were bound to be best friends for life
Romantic relationships come and go
But ours is a strong bond that will only grow.

I saw you fell in love for numerous times,
And each moment, I stand at the edge of the line,
'Should I tell him or forget the feeling? ',
I chose the latter and fall for somebody else willing.

Yet, it's odd when I look at somebody new,
All I ever do is search for a part of you,
Your soul, your music and your deep laughter,
But I know that if it's not you, I wouldn't settle.

I've looked at those brown eyes and got tempted,
The words pondered on my mind but I can't say it,
I just can't tell that I am in love with you,
Cause I'd rather break my own heart than lose you.

Your words are so filled with emotion but sometimes we have to realise that some people will always only be true friends that love is a mutual thing and you can't force those feelings onto anyone.10 ++++++
