Silhouette Lady Poem by Damilola Nelson

Silhouette Lady

Silhouette lady

I wish you were standing before me right now

And like a painter in his prime I could paint you with the finest of words

Someday, sometime, some place under deep blue moolight.

I will.

Silhouette lady

Your curves make me wonder what greater artiste could have carved you

As your shape stood out amongst others in my burning light

I wish I had the gift to see through your shadowy curves

And the skill to paint hyperrealistcally your abstract shape and shades.

Some day, some time, some place under the yellow moon after dusk

I will.

Silhouette lady

Grant just one chance to grace your touch

Maybe I will find a voice to sing you a love song

For mine is off key, but the rhythm of my heart never skip beats.

Some day, some time, some place under the canopies of the stars.

I will.

Silhouette lady

Pardon me if I persist

Do grant a restless wanderer of love

A chance to bath at your bay

For what is love if it doesn't reciprocate

I seek you as the trees seek for rain

I seek your face just as the sky seek the sun

For what absence of beauty it will be for the birds without it's firmament

I am set to see thy face for I seek your love

Some day, some time, some place under the fountain of the sky waters.

I will.
