Silhouetted Against Thy Love: 04 Poem by Subhas Chandra Chakra

Silhouetted Against Thy Love: 04

Silhouetted against thy love,
I stand in the shadows deep.
A formless figure, undefined
A heart that cannot sleep.

The light that emanates from thee
Is brighter than the sun,
And though I long to bask in it,
My darkness can't be undone.

I know not how to bridge the gap
Between my soul and thine,
But still I ache to feel the warmth
Of love that is divine.

So I will stand here in the dark,
A silhouette of pain,
And hope that someday I'll be blessed
To feel thy light again.
