Silly Poem by Weldon Davis

Silly

Rating: 5.0

Silly
She rode a stallion
Stomped a mud hole in my heart and walked it dry
And I..
Wondered from whence she came

Silly
I slapped myself
For not catching her name
As I stood stupid' eyes crossed
With a look of disbelief

She
Headed for the hills
With my heart like a thief
-And-
I yelled 'HALT! You damn vandal! '

Alas it was too late
She was too far gone to hear me
So all my holler'n
Was in vain
As I stood there looking
Silly
