Silver He Held Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Silver He Held

silver he held
and blue a sacred pearl
shone in his hand.

the waters tremulous
shone blue and yellow-gold
then paled, then swung again to red.

And in the red the centre
of the sea-bosom shone
and made lights that come
and lights that go.
