In all my years of living
I've done so many things
Been so many places
Heard the church bells ring
I've heard so many people
As their laughter filled the air
I could see concern on their faces
Because, deep inside we all care
That's when I came to realize
Just how much alike we are
We all have our private moments
When we wish upon a star
We all have our feelings
We all have our pain
It seems to me that you and I
In a lot of ways we are the same
We have all known heartaches
We've all had our dreams
So many times we all contemplate
When our thoughts flow like a stream
We have so much in common
More then we may realize
You can see hope for the future
When you look in peoples eyes
