Simon's River Poem by Andrew Rose

Simon's River

We were happy,
in our own way,
rivals,
close as our hearts could make,

One day,
i left to stay,
a place to teach me
the worlds sake,

My minds a playground,
as youd later say,
and so they played with it,
their own games,

I tried to tell them,
but our parents fate,
was gone from ours
as was our home,
you left that day,

Dark hands,
and yours,
showed the way
lead me safe,
yet the games,
confused me,
forever more
ill never be the same,

Serenity,
where the war was made,
name of the ship,
never boring
the voyages we make,

And a crew,
whose hearts will change,
the universe,
as we see today,

Challenges,
come day to day,
but we have eachother
and well make a home,
a fate,
together
in our own way
