Simple Little Friends Poem by Kelsea Osterman

Just friends with that simple little line you broke my heart but whatever.
Just friends I repeat.
We talk we hang we do a little bit more but never too much.
I fell in love with you I really did.
I loved it when you wrapped your arms around me it made me feel safe.
And for once in my lift it made me feel like someone really did care for me.
You were there for me whenever I needed you.
You helped me when I needed it.
You held me while I cried you kissed away the fears.
You held me close.
You were there even when you were never near.
You cared I could really tell.
You told me you cared.
So when that kiss came my way I thought nothing of it.
It was just a simple kiss to you so why couldn’t it be for me.
I told myself that is all it is.
A simple kiss that I will soon forget about and so will you.
And yet I think I fell in love with that kiss.
No, no, no I won’t fall in love all it has done is gotten me hurt in the end.
So next time you tell me just friends ill remember that because if we are just simply friends
Expect nothing more than that and nothing less than that.
I do love you don’t mistake that but what I really fell in love with was….
